Rooted improbably on steep cliffs and shaped by relentless wind and light, this tree stands as a testament to strength, vitality and the silent dialogue between life and the elements. Drawing on oil techniques that weave European Romanticism with the linear elegance of Asian line-and-wash tradition, I seek to evoke both the physical presence and the mythic spirit of this wondrous landscape. The twisted branches reach outward like a gesture of hospitality — a living symbol of welcome and endurance — inviting the viewer to witness nature’s sublime harmony and to reflect on our own place within the continuum of life and time.
