My work explores the awe-inspiring intersection of nature, atmosphere, and landscape, capturing environments where the natural world asserts its sublime presence. In this piece, I examine how light, mist, and topography interact to create spaces that feel simultaneously ancient and ephemeral.

Working primarily in oil on linen, I engage with the physical texture and fluidity of paint to translate the weight of stone against the weightlessness of atmospheric cloud cover. The diptych format allows me to break traditional spatial continuity, encouraging the viewer’s eye to traverse the expanse and engage with the landscape as an unfolding narrative rather than a static vista.

Through painterly gestures—ranging from dense, grounded mark-making to delicate, diffused veils of color—I seek to evoke the feeling of standing before nature at its most majestic and untamed. These paintings are not merely depictions of physical locations, but meditations on memory, scale, and the quiet power of wilderness. Ultimately, my art serves as an invitation to pause and reconnect with the majestic, humbling forces of the natural world.
